March For Economic Human Rights
Schedule for July 28-August 1

Friday July 28:
*Reality Tours will run at 9am, 12pm and 3pm, leaving from the Liberty Bell First and stopping a Bushville to pick people up *

4-6pm: Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign (PPEHRC) check-in and meeting at Bushville.
4-5pm: Press Conference at Bushville.
6-7:30pm: Dinner at New Jerusalem.
8pm: Human Rights Theatre at Bushville.
8pm: Press Conference at Bushville.

Saturday July 29:
*Reality Tours will run at 9am, 12pm and 3pm, leaving from the Liberty Bell, stopping at Bushville to pick people up*

Early morning showers for PPEHRC.
8am: Individual press interviews at Bushville.
8-9am: Breakfast at Bushville.
9-10am: Educational on the history of the PPEHRC at Bushville.
11am: Meet for the Ad Hoc Coalition to Defend Healthcare March at Franklin Square (6th and Race) (Take the Blue Line west (Market-Frankford Line) to 5th street, walk north a couple of blocks to Race Street, and walk west down Race to 6th Street)
12pm: March begins, leaving from 6th and Race and proceeding down Chestnut Street, to finish at Love Park (16th and JFK)
1:30: Rally at Love Park (16th and JFK)
2pm: Leave march and return to Ritter Hall at Temple University (13th and Cecil B.Moore) (Take the Orange line North (Broad Street Line) to Cecil B. Moore, walk east on Cecil B.Moore, Ritter Hall is on the left, on the corner of Cecil B.Moore and 13th street)
2pm: Set up "PPEHRC Organizational Fair" in Ritter Hall (13th and Cecil B Moore), to present organizational materials to other groups present.
2:30pm: Press Conference at Ritter Hall (13th and Cecil B.Moore)
3-5pm: PPEHRC: University of the Poor presentation in Kiva Auditorium of Ritter Hall (13th and Cecil. B.Moore)
5-6pm: Dinner at Ritter Hall (13th and Cecil B..Moore)
6:30-9pm: Forum: Labor Party in the fight for Economic Human Rights hosted by the Kensington Welfare Rights Union in the Walk auditorium of Ritter Hall (13th and Cecil B.Moore).
9pm-11pm: Reception in Ritter Hall (13th and Cecil B.Moore)
Late evening showers for PPEHRC.

Sunday July 30:
*Reality Tours will run at 9am, 12pm and 3pm, leaving from the Liberty Bell, stopping at Bushville to pick people up*

Early morning showers for PPEHRC.
8-9am: Educational and testimonials on the conditions of poverty in the U.S.A and Breakfast at Bushville.
8am: Press Conference at Bushville.
10-11am:  Civil Disobedience Training at Bushville.
11am: UNITY 2000 March begins from JFK Blvd (near 30th street), proceeds east on JFK Blvd, making a left onto 16th, left on Ben Franklin Parkway. The March concludes between Eakins Oval and Logan Circle. (Take the Blue line west (Market-Frankford) to 30th street, walk a block north)
12pm: March finishes at 22nd street followed by speakers and music.
2:50pm: Cheri Honkala speaks at UNITY 2000 march.
3pm: Press Conference at UNITY 2000 march.
9:30-11:30am: Workshop: Human rights in the Deaf Community at Bushville.(for those interested who are not attending UNITY2000)
1pm: Screening of Outriders (closed captioned) at Bushville (for those interested who are not attending UNITY2000)
2-3pm: Video and written documentation of Deaf Human Rights Abuses at Bushville. (for those interested who are not attending UNITY2000)
3-4:30: Reality tour with ASL Interpreters.
5-6pm: Dinner at Bushville.
5pm: Press Conference at Bushville.
6-7pm: Educational on Human Rights Violations in the Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Deaf-Blind communities at Bushville.
7pm: Training for Human Rights Monitor at Bushville.
7:30-10pm: Music Night with a deaf hip-hop dance troupe from Washington D.C, Human Rights Choir, Human Rights Theatre,
and other local acts.
8pm: Press Conference.
Late Evening showers for PPEHRC.

Monday July 31:
7am: Prayer service and breakfast at Bushville.
8am: Press Conference at Bushville.
8:30am: Prepare for march, pledge of non-violence, and Civil Disobedience training at Bushville.
9am: Head to City Hall (15th and Market) (Take the blue line west (Market- Frankford Line) to 15th/ City Hall)
10am: Speakers check in on the westside of City Hall.
11am: Rally Begins on the Westside of City Hall.
12pm: March For Economic Human Rights departs from City Hall and proceeds down Broad Street to the First Union Center in South Philadelphia.
4pm: KWRU Picnic in North Philadelphia.
4pm: Press Conference at picnic location.
7pm: Clean up Bushville.

Tuesday August 1:
6am: Clean up tent city site
10-12pm: Press Conference at Bushville. (Wed, Thurs, Fri, press conferences available by appointment only.)
